Throughout the course of history

Throughout the course of history, there have been many technological advancements that have made something very easier, much less complicated. During the times before social media and the internet, people mailed letters to each other to communicate. Then, the technological advancement that was the successor of mailing letters back and forth between each other was the invention of the telephone in 1876. Now people were able to transmit their messages via sound waves and the messages were received quicker than they would have been in regards to mailing them. The advancement of technology progressed, in which the creation of the computer occurred in 1936. Subsequently, emailing had been invented in the 1970s. With all of these technological advancements occurring so rapidly, many people being able to find new and improved ways to communicate, the age of social media networking had been brought upon to this world. Now in today’s world, it is very hard to find someone that is not on social media. The social skills of people in today’s world are being changed drastically than the social skills of the generations preceding them. The recreational usage of social media by everyone in today’s society has affected how people communicate. This technological advancement, this new form of communication has changed how people view what is private and what is not. This new form of communication has changed what the basis of a friendship or a relationship means. The effects of social media and the internet have changed the way humans interact.
Social media is the basis of online communication, dedicated to community input, sharing of content, collaboration and interaction. The well-known communication sites are Facebook. Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and Pinterest. Social networking allows people to be able to communicate with their family and friends on a daily basis. With all the help these websites and social media apps provide, people have the ability to basically communicate instantaneously. Then again, social media affects the relationships and it decreases the interpersonal communication of its users. Social media causes problems when off the screen with language between another human being. The majority of people who are on social media and/or the internet incorporate abbreviated versions of words in order to pass on their message as quickly as possible. The shortened version of language used online has impaired people of the society and it degrades the language we speak. It ruins the grammar that we all should be capable of incorporating into our sentences.
