Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta Georgia, the second child of Martin Luther King Sr., a pastor, and Alberta Williams King, a former schoolteacher.
Dr.King attended segregated public schools and at the age of 15 was admitted to Morehouse college and studied Medicine and Law,then he enrolled in a graduate program at Boston University, completing his coursework in 1953 and earning a doctorate in systematic theology two years later.
After college Dr. King started a family with his wife Coretta Scott King which he met in college. Him and Coretta Scott King had four children soon after College.
During this time a women by the name of Rosa Parks would not give up her seat. When Dr.King found out about this, he decided to make a stand and instantly got arrested.Three days later Dr.King was bailed out of prison by a white baptist.After this Dr.King was the leader of the Civil Right Movement and helped thousands of people make a stand for equal rights.
