From the reading there were three main reasons product packing can entice a consumer to make purchases. Colors; there has been research showing that colors are the visual component consumers remember most about the product packaging. Consumers can link brands and colors because colors offer a rapid method for transmit meaning and messages without words and/or sound. For example, take Tide laundry detergent, the packaging is blue which has been found that blue symbolizes cleanliness and orange symbolizes energy.
Perceived value; makes the consumer ask themselves questions about the product just by looking at the packaging before they purchase. Functional; this is the utmost importance that companies has to create for their products so the consumers will not have to worry about the transport of their purchases. Some main functions that companies need to have are containment, protection, information, utility of use and promotion. With these three (Colors, Perceived value and Functional) memorable product packaging presentations can make any consumer keep purchasing again and again.
