Assalamualaikum and a very good morning to all of you. First of all, I wish to thank you to respected chairman, headmaster, teachers and friends. As a former student, I was deeply touched speaking in front of my former teachers and friends. Today, I would like to talk about “why breakfast is the most important meal of the day?”
Breakfast easily be the most ignored meal. Many student say they have no time for it because they are in a hurry to go to their school. Here I will share with you all about the importance of breakfast to all of us.
Why we as a student should have a breakfast every day? Firstly, with breakfast our brain and memory will improve. Breakfast will stimulate our brain for thinking and memory recall. A good breakfast will gives you fuel and keeps you ready along the days. It has been linked extensively for better performance by students in the classroom and school. Having breakfast also will helps students to be more concentrate and focus on learning, problem-solving ability and so on.
Having breakfast on regular basis will has a beneficial influence on attention, concentration, memory and school achievement. Students who has breakfast will perform better on writing, understanding, and reading. On the contrary, students who skip breakfast, they have to survive for a long time without food and during this period of hunger will cause many physical, intellectual, and behavioural problems to them. They are more likely to feel uncomfortable, anger and possibility of depression too.
Another reason why you should eat breakfast is because breakfast will give you full energy in the morning before lunch as well as it will provide optimal health and intelligence. By the time we wake up in the morning, our glucose stores are low, meaning that we did not have energy and we need a food. Some people think that breakfast is not important but that’s not true at all. Breakfast is not very big meal, and on the contrary, you’re going to feel tired if you don’t have breakfast because you have spent the entire previous night without food.
It will also prevent you feeling weak in the middle of the morning due to the low amount of glucose in the blood. When your glucose level is low, you will feel tired and not able to concentrate on your lessons and learning process. Breakfast is good to inspire and make you ready for any activity on the day.
Generally, those who eat breakfast are more confident about daily activities, either at school or at home. As a student will certainly be involved in sports activities, associations and activities in the classroom. With breakfast you must have enough energy and be able to do activities with high confidence and charisma. They need their body to be function well. Eating breakfast is necessary to supply their body of the energy. Meanwhile, those who do not have breakfast cannot do a lot of activity because you will be tired, cannot concentrate on activities and can cause injury to yourself.
The last reason for breakfast is because besides the energy mentioned to making healthy, eating breakfast also makes the body fit and maintain a healthy weight. Because breakfast is the first meal of the day after fasting yesterday during sleep, it provides the basis of nutritional health for the day, and stimulates the body of the beginning. Students who take breakfast are also found to have an ideal body weight. They were found to be less ill and injured.
However, for those who do not have breakfast, they will over-eat during the next meal in the middle of the day and will encourage the typical obesity symptoms of children or students. They tend to choose something high in fat and calories to satisfy their eating habits.
Breakfast habits encourage them to have a diet complete with daily diets. This can prevent them from taking non-nutritious snacks. When you have breakfast, the body will automatically maintain the bowel movement more effectively. If you often avoid breakfast, in the long run it will interfere with your digestive system and can cause constipation. Research shows that regular breakfast eaters tend to be leaner and dieter are more successful at losing weight and keeping it off.

Ultimately, causing excessive carbohydrate intake will result in weight loss being more difficult and likely to be obese.
From my observations, based on facts and examples the advantage of the breakfast is it makes our brain active and awake. Students who take breakfast each day will be more confident and active along the day than friends who do not take breakfast. This student always looks fit and smart and not tired in doing routine work in the classroom or at school. Students who having the breakfast will be better on writing, reading ; understanding. They also have higher focus levels, tend to score higher in class and involved in every activity of learning.
While students that do not eat breakfast are more likely to get bad results look weak. They also always loss of concentration while studying, sleepy in the class, especially during the learning process occurs.
Breakfast with Carbohydrates that are taken in the morning was stimulated glucose and micro nutrients into the brain. For example, vitamin B enriched in bread and breakfast cereals has a positive effect to the brain.
Usually children that take daily breakfast will be healthier than children who did not that breakfast in the morning. Breakfast will make the body more fit, higher immune system and this will make the students excited to go to school.
Based on my own experience, without having breakfast, my brain will not work well as it has no energy and strength.
When I tried to learn something new, it always failed and could not focus properly because of hunger, during lunch time. I finally faced many problems on that day like feeling tired and moody. When I skip the breakfast and go to school, I have a health problem like stomach ache, gastric and headache. From that moment, I began to take breakfast and no longer let my stomach become empty.
Breakfast not only enhances your metabolism as a student, but it also increases your energy and makes you more productive than your friends that do not take breakfast. It’s important to students to have breakfast every day, but what they eat in the morning is crucial too. Choosing breakfast foods that is rich in whole grains such as almond, oat, and protein found in eggs while low in added sugar may boost students attention, concentration, and memory.

No matter what your nutrition or weight loss goals are, eating breakfast allows you to mentally start the day off right. When eating breakfast becomes part of your daily routine, you start taking ownership of it, become more consistent, and feel that you are making a positive change. Physically or nutritionally, when you have breakfast, there is more of a guarantee that you’re getting the nutrients you need every day. According to the American Dietetic Association Nutrition in their page, describes the processes by which all of the food a person eats is taken in and the nutrients that the body needs are absorbed helps prevent disease, promotes health while helping to control weight

Fiber helps give a sense of satiety and, therefore, does not encourage excessive eating.And when combined with healthy drinks, fibre helps move food through the digestive system, preventing constipation and lowering cholesterol.
Good sources of these nutrients include carbohydrates are found in whole-grain cereals, whole-grain breads, fruits, and vegetables. Protein such as low-fat, lean meats, and egg, and also fibre from whole-grain breads, fruits, vegetables, beans, and nuts.
In conclusion, I believed that everyone should having breakfast every day before doing their activities. From my points of view, you have to realize that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and you cannot skip it because it is very important to your brain, energy, nutrition and weight gain. And to all students, let take breakfast every day.
